Coordinate and lead the development of business unit’s annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Prepare ad hoc financial and operational analysis and key metric reporting for all functional areas. Provide oversight and direction for the company’s costing function.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and lead the development of business unit’s annual budgets and quarterly forecasts (30%)
Participate in the establishment of company objectives
Consolidate, analyze and integrate departmental projections
Works closely with the VP of Finance to coordinate and finalize budgets and forecasts to be submitted to HQ
Analyze performance versus budget and forecast, working closely with the VP of Finance to advise on meeting profit commitments
Measure and continuously improve forecast accuracy
Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and key metric reporting for all functional areas (40%)
Develops and provides analysis and interpretation of statistical and financial information to assess operating results and impact on profitability.
Analyze product, project and customer profitability
Support new product introduction process, working with Marketing & R&D
Identify key metrics; collect and report performance against key metrics
Conduct financial analysis as requested to support ad hoc decision making
Provide financial oversight for the company’s costing function (30%)
Responsible for inventory accuracy and all relating material transactions, bill of materials and system ties.
Ensures cycle counts are completed, communicated and reviewed accordingly.
Review and occasionally prepare relevant month-end closing general ledger journal entries, monthly reconciliations, reserve calculations and associating auditing functions.
Ensure that the Pricing team is working with the most accurate cost estimates in business unit’s quote costing and special projects system
Provides financial support and expertise regarding opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions in all aspects of operations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Accounting/Finance or related field required; MBA preferred; Minimum 5 years of experience with a history of success; Three or more years’ experience in financial planning and analysis.
Excel, AS 400, Total HR, Cognos, Word, and Power Point.
