Farmer Holding Company is currently recruiting for the following two positions:
Assistant Controller - Accounting Operations
Will support the Controller of Operations in directing the principals, practices and procedures of ac-counting processes and the management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
Individual will also be heavily involved in the leadership and efforts with process efficiencies, implementing system enhancements and assisting with formation of internal controls.
Individual must be competent and able to assist in planning operational activities and developments.
Must be an excellent leader who can contribute and facilitate ideas in order to improve operational efficiencies throughout the organization.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university, with a minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting and/or financial work and management experience.
Requires thorough knowledge of various business processes.
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, to include planning and organization; with an ability to manage multiple projects.
Detail oriented, efficient, multi-tasker committed to accuracy.
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
Must be proficient in MS Office with above-average Excel skills.
Financial Reporting Manager
Will create effective financial data analysis and responsible for developing financial documentation for the organization's decision makers.
Interpret large amounts of ac-counting reports to create sound advice for future financial decisions.
Must have a thorough understanding of financial statements.
Prepare financial, operational and statistical reports on performance of various business segments and the consolidated business.
Prepare and analyze financial, operational and statistical reports on performance of consolidated holding company.
Manage, develop and maintain reports and analytics to facilitate sound business decisions.
Develop and implement data collection tools and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
Ensure accurate transaction records, evaluate financial processing, and control transaction processes.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Finance is required.
Experience in Computer Information Systems would be beneficial.
Minimum 5 years' experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis.
Advanced level of proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with financial reporting software such as Prophix, is desirable.
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
Must possess critical and analytical skills.
